More About This Rug

Frequently Asked Questions

Is this sheepskin rug one of a kind?
Yes. Every Wol Society rug is one of a kind because every hide carries its own texture, markings, color, curl, and natural variation.

Can this rug be made in another size or color?
Sabine can explore custom sheepskin rug inquiries through the trade program. Because every hide is unique, a custom rug can’t be duplicated exactly, but she can work within a desired palette, size direction, room type, or material character when the right skins are available.

Where does this rug ship from?
Ready-to-ship rugs typically ship from the U.S., while custom rugs ship from Belgium.

Is trade pricing available?
Yes. Interior designers, architects, and trade buyers can inquire for trade access and pricing. Inquire About Trade Pricing

Wol Society sheepskin rugs are composed from exceptional sheepskins sourced from Europe, Australia, and New Zealand, selected for their natural markings, softness, curl, texture, color, and character.
Each one-of-a-kind artisanal rug is composed by artist Sabine Maes at her Belgium atelier.
Sabine sources sheepskins through trusted relationships across Europe, including regions such as Iceland and Gotland. Each hide is chosen for what it can become within the final rug, not for perfect uniformity.
This is what gives every Wol Society sheepskin rug its unique atmosphere.
- Vacuum your sheepskin rug weekly with a handheld vacuum.
- Brush occasionally with a wool comb or sheepskin rug brush.
- Blot spills immediately with a cloth; spot clean with mild soap and water.
- Avoid rubbing, hot water, bleach, harsh detergents, and direct heat.
